75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force

Preserving Aviation Heritage. Experiencing the Mission. Through VR.

Two immersive 360° VR productions created to bring audiences closer to the aviation heritage, people and mission of the Sri Lanka Air Force.

About the project

Bringing aviation heritage and the mission closer through immersive storytelling.

To mark the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force, GLOBAL360X created two immersive VR productions celebrating the history, heritage and operational spirit of the Air Force through 360° visual storytelling.

The project was designed to go beyond conventional documentation, allowing audiences to explore aviation heritage and experience an operational perspective through immersive virtual reality.

Through these productions, viewers can explore the Rathmalana Air Force Museum and experience the perspective of a para-jumping mission.

Beyond documentation

Turning aviation heritage into immersive experiences.

This project demonstrates how VR can transform the way aviation heritage and mission experiences are shared. Museum collections and airborne perspectives can be presented not simply as footage on a screen, but as immersive experiences that place audiences inside the environment.

For GLOBAL360X, this project was an opportunity to explore how 360° technology and VR can create meaningful experiences that traditional media cannot easily reproduce.

From tourism and education to aviation, defence and cultural heritage, the possibilities of immersive storytelling continue to expand.

For me, this project was another opportunity to explore how 360° technology and VR can create experiences that traditional media cannot easily reproduce.

From tourism and education to defence, public services and cultural heritage, the possibilities of immersive storytelling continue to expand.
